Hanover
The Rev. Ashely Bryner, a friend of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony, which was held across the brook in a field behind the bride’s family home.
The bridegroom’s parents walked him down the aisle. The bride’s mother walked her down the aisle, while her father met her at the altar holding the wedding rings. Lissy Birnie and Peter Birnie were attendants for the bride, and Jennifer Keysor and Aron Efimenko were attendants for the groom. Wesley Magat was the flower girl and Aya Reiss performed a reading. The hymn Simple Gifts was performed during the ceremony.
The bride wore pearls from her grandfather, a charm bracelet from her grandmother, and earrings from her great-grandmother. A family friend embroidered the couple’s monogram inside the wedding dress. The bridegroom wore a Scottish tweed suit. The couple’s wedding rings were made by a family friend.
The bride is the daughter of Dick and Pietie Birnie, of Hanover. The bride graudated from Hanover High School and Williams College. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and is employed by Ecosystem Investment Partners.
The bridegroom is the son of Diane and Butch Keysor, of Naples, N.Y. He graduated from Red Creek High School in Red Creek, N.Y., and St. Lawrence College. He earned a master’s degree in defense and strategic studies from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in liberal studies from Notre Dame of Maryland University. He is employed by the Department of Defense.
The couple live in Baltimore and plan a honeymoon on the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland next summer.
