Zander Stockwell’s family says he has some camping equipment and may be hiding out in the area, according to an updated police news release issued on Friday.
Residents with seasonal homes, camps or trailers are urged to check them for Zander, or for evidence that he may have been there. Police also are asking hunters to examine snowmobile and other trail systems.
Zander is 5-foot-1, weighs 140 pounds and has blue eyes and blonde hair. He was last seen on Saturday afternoon in Dorchester wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, jeans and tan work boots. He lives on River Road.
News reports indicate this is the second time he has run away this year.
