Thatcher Bacon, Zach Garfield and Uly Junker Boyce powered the attack in the opening win. Junker Boyce also shared time in goal with Nate Solberg as LSC won going away.
Seacoast provided a tighter contest, but defenders Roan Palm Sam Ames and Andrew Rudd marshalled an airtight response on defense for the Comets. Thomas Bugg scored twice on passes from Solberg, who also contributed the final goal of the victory.
Norwich
LSC’s second game resulted in a 5-0 loss to Seacoast United Express, which jumped to a three-goal lead by halftime.
Meriden
Richie Aman scored twice for the Fire, once on a free-kick pass from Jack Ross. Jack Gardner fed a Murphy Hunt goal and Hugh Clark converted from the penalty spot for a 4-0 halftime lead that was more than enough for the home team.
Ty Nolon and Jack Maynes shared goalkeeping duties for the Fire, with the back line of Jack McGrath, Spencer Lawe and Palmer Okai providing ample cover.
Meriden
NEFC jumped to a 2-0 lead, but the Flames’ Beckett Sobel and Nolan Morlock countered quickly to tie. NEFC broke the deadlock moments after a big Norwood Davis save, but the visitors scored three times after halftime for a 5-2 advantage.
Sobel drew the Flames back with five minutes left and Kai Kurokawa converted a Morlock feed with 90 seconds to play for LSC.
Amesbury, Mass.
The Blast spread the scoring around against Seacoast, with Tyler St. Martin, Camden Dwyer, Will Ermarth, Jared Pugh, Henry Aspinwall and Owen Stannard denting the net. A second trip south returned a similar result, with Aspinwall scoring three times to go with goals from Dwyer, St. Martin and Ermarth.
The Blast hosts Seacoast United Manchester at Pope Field on Sunday.

The Bugs grabbed an 8-0 league win over Seacoast United Girls Bue over the weekend. The first victory added to four draws the Bugs have accumulated to date.
The Sparks nipped GPS NH Selects, 1-0, in their weekend match to stay undefeated on the campaign. Keeper Mo McBride recorded her fifth straight shutout for the Sparks.
