Hanover — Caitlin Rose Stanton (known to family and friends as “KiKi”) and David Watson Sobel were married on Sept. 17, 2016, at the summer home of the bridegroom’s parents on Moore’s Island in Kittery Point, Maine.

Dr. Ricardo Aulet, a close friend of the couple, officiated at the ceremony. Anna Stanton Ladd-Smith, the bride’s sister, was the matron of honor. The bride’s sister Sara Stanton and Marietta Stewart were the bridesmaids. Andrew Sobel, the bridegroom’s brother, was the best man. Daniel Hechavarria and Jeff Steinberg, medical school classmates of the bridegroom, were the groomsmen. Owen Ladd-Smith, age 2, was the ringbearer. 

The day was filled with abounding sunshine followed by an abundance of moonlight from a Harvest Moon. The reception, held on Moore’s Island, included an oyster bar, lawn games and fireworks.

The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth Rose and Bruce A. Stanton, of Hanover. She graduated from Burke Mountain Academy in East Burke, Vt., in 2002 and Brown University in Providence, R.I., in 2006. She earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2007. She earned a law degree from Vermont Law School in 2014 and is employed an attorney at the Moulton Law Group in Burlington.

The bridegroom is the son of Valerie and Jonathan Sobel, of Portsmouth, N.H. He graduated from Brown University in 2008 and Tufts Medical School in 2014. He is a third-year urology resident at UVM Medical Center in Burlington. 

The couple live in Winooski, Vt.
