Hanover — The Dartmouth College men’s soccer team had its best offensive performance of the season during a 4-1 victory over Pennsylvania on Saturday evening at Burnham Field.

The Big Green is 4-2-5 overall and 2-0-1 in the Ivy League while the Quakers are 3-3-5, 1-2-0.

The Big Green took a 1-0 lead during the fifth minute, Noah Paravicini scoring off a Tyler Dowse assist. The hosts led, 1-0, at intermission.

Jonathan Nierenberg scored 10 minutes into the second half to put Dartmouth ahead, 2-0. Emmanuel Arteaga tallied during the 60th minute for a 3-0 lead. Dartmouth’s Wyatt Omsberg converted a penalty kick to close the scoring.

The Big Green visits Boston University on Tuesday night.

New London — The Chargers improved to 8-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in North Atlantic Conference action. Eddie Garcia, Noah Carmelo and Devin Kelly scored for CSC, which hosts Middlebury on Tuesday.

Vermont Tech 3, Paul Smith’s 0

Randolph Center — Phil Hepburn, Dimitri Georgiadis and Matt Bryan scored goals for Vermont Tech. Scott Durkee made four saves for the Green Knights (6-10), who visit New Hampshire Technical Institute on Tuesday.

Women’s SoccerDartmouth 1, Penn 1 (2 ot)

Hanover —Dartmouth (6-5-1, 0-3-1) and Penn (7-3-2, 1-2-1) battled to a draw at Burnham Field.

Holly Patterson converted a penalty kick for the Big Green in the 10th minute of the second half.

Penn equalized in the 66th minute. Off a corner kick, senior defender Paige Lombard scored from inside the box for her third tally of the season.

Penn out-shot Dartmouth, 16-7, and forced Big Green goalkeeper Casey Cousineau to make nine saves. At the other end, Kitty Qu had one stop.

New London — Molly MacLure scored twice to lead the Chargers (5-8-1, 4-2-1), who have won four consecutive games and who visit Maine-Farmington and Thomas this weekend.

Field HockeyYale 7, Dartmouth 4

Hanover — Evie Bird had two goals but the Big Green dropped its sixth consecutive contest and fell to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in Ivy League play. Yale is 5-7, 1-3.

Dartmouth also received goals from Katie Spanos and Morgan Phillie but was outshot, 30-17.

Women’s RugbyDartmouth 84, Princeton 15

Princeton, n.j. — The Big Green improved to 5-1 overall and 4-0 against Ivy opponents during its regular-season finale.

Freshman Isabel Boettcher touched down four times, bringing her season total to a team-high 10. Classmate Frankie Sands scored three times and has seven tries this fall.

Women’s VolleyballColumbia 3, Dartmouth 1

Hanover — Dartmouth (7-10, 1-6) fell to Columbia (10-7, 5-2) by set scores of 30-28, 25-27, 22-25, 17-25.

Dartmouth’s Emily Astarita and Zoe Leonard had double-doubles for the second night in a row, with Astarita getting 13 kills and 19 digs and Leonard ending the match with 11 digs and 22 assists. Freshman Carly Tower made a splash in her first multi-set performance, ending with seven kills, 22 total attacks and five block assists.

Cross CountryBig Green Men 18th, Women are 28th

Terre Haute, Ind. — Dartmouth claimed 18th place at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational.

Seniors Daniel Salas and Matt Herzig finished 56th and 57th, respectively. Salas edged Herzig, finishing ahead by four-tenths of a second. He ran 23:56.3 and Herzig crossed in 23:56.7.

The Dartmouth women placed 28th, led by senior Helen Schlactenhaufen in 84th place with a time of 21:19.2.
