She was born in Boston, Mass. on Jan. 8, 1914 the daughter of Jason O. and Lillian D. (Hartford) Gilson.
She was a graduate of Simmons College in Boston. She was a nurse throughout the Boston area.
She was the widow of Raymond A. Evans whom she married on February 22, 1940.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith Evans Lewis of Chesapeake, Va. and Barbara Evans Rotundo of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Evans of Cornish.
She was predeceased by her son, Raymond Evans in 2007. A graveside service will be held privately.
