Hartford, Vt. — Craig Alan Jackson, 48, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2016. He was born in Waukegan, Ill. to Donald Jackson and the late Beverly (Reibig) Jackson on March 26, 1968. He grew up in Westport, Conn. and graduated from Staples High School, class of 1986. He worked as a chef for several high-end restaurants in southern Connecticut before moving to the Upper Valley in the mid 90’s. There he continued to work as a cook in area restaurants. He enjoyed playing guitar and was in a band called “Fall Line”. Craig enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling and was a fan of both the Chicago Bears and the Yankees. He was an animal loving man who dreamed that someday he would open an animal shelter.
He is survived by his wife, Tekeeta Jackson of Hartford; his father, Donald Jackson and his wife, Nita of Bradford, N.H.; a sister, Kathy Jackson of Alexandria, Va.; and a brother, Brian Jackson of Prescott, Ariz.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Craig is also survived by his six Long Haired Dachshunds: Phoebe, Moosie, Mayia, Loco, Lucas and Beanie.
