Enfield, N.H. — Frank Joseph DePalo, 94, formerly of West Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Genesis-Lebanon Center where he has been a resident for the past four years. He was born in New York, N.Y. to the late Joseph P. & Angelina (Falzarano) DePalo on April 22, 1922.

Frank grew up in White River Junction, Vt. and graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1940. He served with the Coast Guard and was called to active duty where he proudly served. Following his honorable discharge he graduated with high honors from the New England Conservatory of Music. Frank was an accomplished singer and made his own record and passionately sang for 20 years in New York night clubs. He met Rachel Lassard and was married six months later, their 70th wedding anniversary would have been the 28th this September. They moved to the Upper Valley and Frank continued to sing at area venues, worked as a carpenter, helped with prison ministry, was a member of the Lebanon Assembly of God Church and enjoyed playing basketball. He was a generously devoted family man who dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel DePalo of West Lebanon; two sons, Peter A. DePalo and his wife, Lora of Enfield and Joseph P. DePalo of Cornish; three siblings, Joseph DePalo of Enfield, Gloria Beattie of Enfield and Lillian Woods of California; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Frank was predeceased by two children, Francis J. DePalo and Yvonne A. DePalo; two siblings, Thomas DePalo and Catherine DelTamco.

Family and friends are invited to the Ricker Funeral Home of Lebanon for calling hours on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and then again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A burial service will be conducted on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the West Lebanon Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at the Assembly of God Church in Lebanon at 2 p.m.
