Enfield — A tournament this summer at Montcalm Golf Club raised money to fund the adoptions of 10 children by New Hampshire families who otherwise couldn’t afford to adopt.

Nearly 100 people, including 86 golfers, attended the July 20 event, which was sponsored by Gift of Adoption, New Hampshire chapter.

At the event, Linda Boucher, the chapter’s co-president, described the national nonprofit’s mission and its plans to help 500 children annually by 2020, according to a news release from Gift of Adoption.

Gift of Adoption works to inspire adoption by providing grants to qualified parents, “giving children who need families a permanent home and a chance to thrive,” according to the organization’s website.

A spokeswoman said 100 percent of donations to the nonprofit support adoption.
