Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a fiery car crash on Thursday evening just north of the intersection of Hanover Center and Rennie roads. Hanover Fire Capt. Chris Doolan said it was unclear why the driver of the Honda SUV left the roadway and struck a bridge abutment around 6 p.m. The car, which traveled down an embankment, burst into flames; the two female occupants were able to exit the vehicle, Doolan said. Fire crews arrived on scene shortly after the crash and soon-after extingued the flames. (Valley News – Jennifer Hauck)
