Choukas finished at 74-74-77—226 for the 54-hole championship. One of the top players on last year’s NHIAA Division state champions and part of a pair of state-title winners with the Marauders, Choukas finished ninth out of the 10 amateurs who made the cut and 38th overall.
DeForest shot 71-68-67—206 (10 under par) to share the regulation lead with Maine’s Shawn Warren and Arizona’s Andrew Rauscher before claiming the playoff. The state open moves to Manchester Country Club in 2017.
