Stockbridge, Vt. —
He was born Aug. 9, 1948 in Hong Kong, China; the son of Stephen E. and Nicki (Kvachadze) Van Nostrand. He was raised in Japan, where he attended high school, and was a graduate of Maryland University. Stephen had lived in Maryland before moving to Killington, then to Stockbridge in 1990. He had worked for many years as a carpenter, and as a bartender in the Killington area. He enjoyed homing pigeon racing and skiing.
Survivors include his wife Pat Harrington of Stockbridge. He was predeceased by his brother Danny.
It was his desire that no services be held. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Stockbridge First Responders, P.O. Box 39, Stockbridge, VT 05772. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
