Royalton, Vt. — Emery Rudolph Munyon, Jr., 75 passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at his home in Royalton.

He was born June 15, 1941, to Emery Munyon Sr. and Carmela Delsignore of Milford, Mass.

In 1966, he married Marsha Dudley of Mendon, Mass. where they resided and started a family. Emery was in the Army for six years. He drove truck for Garelick Farms and worked on the Mass Pike. He was a member of the ‘Brothers of the Brush’ in Mendon and started a small company called ‘Emery and Girls Construction.’ In 1986 he and his family moved to Royalton. His places of employment included Split Ball Bearing, G.W. Plastics and the Woodstock Inn. He is a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Bethel along with the Knights of Columbus. Emery enjoyed tinkering in his garage, playing golf, cards and cribbage. He would be outdoors soaking up the sunshine any chance he could get. Most of all he loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Munyon of 50 years.; four daughters whom all reside in Vermont: Kimberly Munyon and her husband, Larry White of Tunbridge, Melanie Munyon and her husband, Thad Smith of Bethel, Melinda Mercier and her husband, Matt of Stockbridge, and Alicia Riesterer and her husband, Alex of Bethel; a sister, Patty Munyon of East Randolph, Vt., broth-er, David Munyon and his wife, Beverly of North Smithfield, R.I., and a sister, Carol Little and husband, Winston of Fla.; six grandchildren: Kayleigh, Anna, Owen, Max, Arden and Amos and a great-granddaughter Nikayla.

He is predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter in 1967; a brother, Albert; and his great-grandson, Jamaal Trukvan, Jr.

Calling hours will be held, Friday, July 29, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home, 300 VT RT 110, Chelsea, Vt. A memorial mass will be celebrated, Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Bethel, Vt. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bethel.
