Thetford, Vt. —
Janice was well known as a caterer in the Upper Valley creating tasty homemade food for numerous gatherings. Health concerns in the past 5 years for Ken & Janice forced her to slow down but to the end she kept hoping that she would again be able help the people she has worked with for decades and loves dearly.
An invitation to the mostly annual Sugar on Snow party was a coveted prize. Homemade raised donuts with maple cream on top are enjoyed by many at the annual TAAA Craft Bazaar. Ken & Janice have sugared and farmed all their married lives and Janice had perfected the art of maple cream, Indian Sugar and sugar cakes.
Janice’s hands were never idle. Crocheting as she sat beside Ken watching TV, she created dozens of doily’s and one baptism gown. Janice loved to travel to Europe with groups from Thetford Academy visiting Italy, France and Spain. She enjoyed annual trips with son Eric to new destinations as well as frequent visits to Wells Beach, Maine.
Graveside Celebration of Life will be at noon on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the Post Mills Cemetery with a gathering in the church hall following. Feel free to share memories and the joy she brought us all.
