Myrtle Beach, S.C. —
Lyn and Warren were married for 67 years, and met during World War II when she volunteered at the USO in Memphis, Tenn. They were married in 1949 in Goodman, Miss. Lyn was employed at the Davis Optician Co. of Memphis and the Millbury Public School systems as the Secretary for the Guidance Department and for the Association of Retarded Citizens of Pleasant Valley, N.Y Lyn supported the Boy Scouts of Millbury as a Den Mother and was a Sunday school teacher for the Millbury Federated Church.
During early family years, Lyn and Warren enjoyed taking the children outdoor camping throughout New England, Canada and New York. Lyn was an avid walker and greatly enjoyed long walks with Warren and her faithful dog. After retirement, Lyn enjoyed travel abroad throughout Europe, England and Ireland. Lyn enjoyed quilting and was a talented seamstress. Lyn will be forever in our hearts and memories.
A graveside committal service will be held Friday, Aug., 12, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, Vt. A memorial service will be held following the committal service at 11:30 am at the Tunbridge Church, VT RT 110, Tunbridge, Vt.
