Hanover
Kevin Birdsey (1389 votes), Dana Cook Grossman (1289), William Craig (1195), Edwin Howes (1138), Liz Blum (1090) all won seats on the board.
Ten candidates were running for five seats on the 12-member board, and only six had been deemed “suitably qualified” by the Co-op’s nominating committee.
They were incumbent Benoit Roisin, Phil Pochoda, Donald Kreis, Howes, Cook Grossman and Birdsey.
The rest were running by petition. The activist group Concerned About the Co-op had endorsed five candidates: Pochoda, Kreis, Craig, Blum and Ann MacDonald.
Another member of Concerned About the Co-op, Sean Clauson, ran independently as a petition candidate.
The top four vote-getters — Birdsey, Cook Grossman, Craig and Howes — will serve three-year terms. Blum, the fifth-place finisher, will serve for one year.
