Logan Falzarano’s hat trick paced Topstitch (1-0), which also received two-goal efforts from Hunter Bienvenu and Nate Chickering. Colin Kiernan, John Moorhead and Patrick Mason added single tallies.
Jorgen Leuthauser and John Willeman split time in goal for Topstitch, which heads to Norwich on Sunday afternoon as part of a Lebanon-Touchline doubleheader.
Windsor
Liam Collins had a goal and an assist for Norwich-Touchline, and teammates Bauti Gallino, Nico Mayo-Pushee and Ian Caldwell also scored. Norwich-Touchline’s fifth tally was an own goal.
Anthony Stossel and Carter Auchin tended goal behind the strong play of Owen Stadheim, Brian Turkington and Arwen Clayton in the field.

Burlington
Chapman totaled 5,837 points in 10 events over two days. Among unattached competitors, he earned wins in the 100 meters, 110 meters, high jump and long jump and was second in the 400 meters and discus.
Among high school competitors, Woodstock’s Bill Wood was third with 4,795 points, followed by teammate Adam Farinas (33rd) and Justin Whittaker (54th). South Royalton’s Connor Lambert was eighth (4,559), followed by teammate William Wuttke (51st).
Julio Lopez (14th, 4,458) and Christian Jones (15th, 4,168) led Thetford, with Noah Perry (41st), George Essex (52nd), Jackson Hall (66th) and Gabriel Gaetz (73rd) also competing.
Oxbow was paced by Jon Puffer (12th), Griffin Shaw (48th), Jarret Rock (57th), Jake Senecal (64th) and Tyrus Rosten (76th).
In the girls’ decathlon, Woodstock’s Anna Dieffenbach was sixth (4,186), followed by teammates Grace Vollers (25th) and Lily Walker-Money (38th). Oxbow was represented by Izzy Geising (10th, 3,685), Emily Carson (29th), Kafre O’Connell (40th) and Franni Hoag (54th). Morgan Lavoy (36th), Ellenor Koppers (56th), Emma Bauer (57th) and Gabrielle Curtis represented Thetford, and Emily Ballou 52nd) represented South Royalton.
