Marie was born on June 4, 1926. Cherished wife of her predeceased husband, Carl F. Hillmann. Beloved mother of son, Carl Hillmann and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Therese DiStaulo and her husband, Joe; son, Ted Hillmann and his wife, Teri; daughter, Christine Hillmann; son, Rick Hillmann and partner, Ann Tierney; daughter, Margo Sammons and her husband, C.L.; son, Robert Hillmann and his wife, Jacqui; daughter, Patricia and her wife, Deb; daughter, Maureen Flego and her fiancé, Andy Wolf; son, Roland Hillmann and his wife, Melinda; and son, Mike Hillmann. Devoted grandmother of 21 grandchildren and loving great grandmother of 20 great grandchildren.
Marie graduated from a two year business college, Georgia Southwestern State University in Georgia alongside Rosalynn Carter (President Jimmy Carter’s wife). She retired from Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Hanover, New Hampshire at age 75. She was a voracious reader and gardener.
In celebrating the Life of Marie, family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Route #35, Middletown, NJ 07748.
