Mesa, Ariz. — Dennis James Elliott, 62, of Mesa, died of natural causes on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Lebanon (N.H.) High School and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M., majoring in Sociology and Police Science. For many years, Dennis was a police officer in his hometown of Lebanon. His final decades were spent in Phoenix. His heart belonged to the painted skies and long summers of Arizona. In his many years there, he traveled the back roads, and he partied in the city.

Dennis is survived by his brother, Gregory, of Providence, R.I.; nephew Brendan of Hopewell, N.J.; and cousins David Jones, Jodie Weaver, Julie Weaver, Jeff Weaver, Kathy Burke, Mary Rau-ner, Judith Schimmel, Matthew Brown, and Susan Campbell.
