Gilford, n.h. — Granite State College held its commencement exercises on Sunday at Meadowbrook Pavilion, with more than 600 students earning degrees from associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.

Gov. Maggie Hassan was the commencement speaker.

Among various awards, an honorary doctorate in humane letters was to be presented to Larry J. Gammon, president and CEO of Easter Seals New Hampshire. Gammon has worked with the agency since 1971, serving as its president since 1985. Gammon oversees Easter Seals programs and services offered throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Rhode Island for individuals with disabilities and special needs, according to a Granite State College news release.
