Etna, N.H. — Walter R. Wilcox, 79, passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, May 30, 2016. He was born in South Strafford, Vt. to the Late Roy & Margaret (Porter) Wilcox on Sept. 10, 1936. He was married to Jan Lee and later married Alice Dixon. Walter enlisted with the Air Force where he proudly served and retired after 23 plus years as a Tec. Sergeant. Following his discharge he worked for Southern Lines as an inspector. He then was employed by the US Postal Service for 20 plus years. In retirement he was a currier for Thrift car rental and then Timken Aerospace. Walter was a 32nd degree member of The Blazing Star Eureka Lodge No.11 F&AM of Concord. He was a member of the American Legion Guyer-Carignan Post 22 of Lebanon and was an avid Fisherman and hunter.

Walter is survived by his wife, Alice D. Wilcox; his three children, Dennis Wilcox and his wife, Taryn, Kelly Toler and fiancé, Jeff Mahadeen and Deborah Gustafson and her husband, Mark; five siblings, Myrtle Jenkins, Hazel Grizwold, Ernest Wilcox, Winifred Barksdale, Theresa Campbell; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings Richard Wilcox, Earl Wilcox, Lois Grimaldi and Dana Wilcox.

At Walters request there will be no formal services. Family and close friends are invited to the family home for a celebration of life on Sunday June 26, 2016, from 12 to 4 p.m.
