San Diego — The Dartmouth College sailing team is holding down eight place through two days of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Laser Performance Team Race National Championship.

The Big Green went 9-8 in the second round of the regatta on Sunday, improving three spots from Saturday’s performance. Robert Floyd, Charles Lalumiere, Christopher Williford, Madeline Cooney, Rebecca McElvain and Abigail Rohman represented Dartmouth on a day that say the Big Green earn wins over seventh-place Old Dominion and 10th-place Navy.

 Ivy League foe Yale leads the field after going 16-1 on Sunday, followed by Boston College at 14-4, St. Mary’s College at 14-4 and Georgetown at 13-4.
