The annual Sufficient Food for All Walk is the main fundraising event for the nonprofit, which serves more than 300 households in the towns of Randolph, Braintree, Brookfield and East Granville. The event, held rain or shine, includes food, live music and prizes.
It will start at Brookfield Elementary School, with registration opening at 8 a.m. It features a 3.9-mile route and an 8.7-mile route for walkers and runners, and a 10.8-mile route for bicyclists.
The routes, along peaceful back country roads, include water stops and signs to guide walkers and cyclists, organizers said in a news release.
Participants solicit pledges or contribute directly, and local businesses are generous supporters as well, the release said. Dogs are welcome on leashes.
The minimum entry fee is $10 per youth and $25 per adult, according to the food shelf’s website.
