Heidi Guyette, of Wilder, manager of the West Lebanon New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet, received the 2015 “Top Shelf Merchandising Award” from the New Hampshire Liquor Commission at its annual award event last month at the Puritan Backroom in Manchester. For the first time since it launched its Wine & Spirits Awards four years ago, the commission this year issued employee awards. “These individuals have stood out for their deep knowledge, commitment to customer service, teamwork and can-do attitude,” commission Chairman Joseph Mollica said in a news release.
Sperry Wilson, of South Strafford, an account executive with the Norwich office of The Richards Group, recently passed the state property and casualty license exam and is now licensed to sell employee benefits and commercial-personal insurance in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Wilson joined The Richards Group in 2008 as an account manager for the Employee Benefits Group, She is an adviser to mid-size businesses with expertise in health care reform and both the New Hampshire and Vermont state exchanges.
Paul Guidone, of Hanover, has been named the new director of finance for the Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society Inc. A charted financial analyst, Guidone spent more than 35 years in the financial services industry, most recently as managing partner of Linden Point Capital Management LLC in New Jersey. From 2007 to 2011, Guidone served as a guest lecturer in Vanderbilt University’s Managerial Studies Program and was an adjunct professor teaching investment analysis at the university.
Jacqueline A. Richter-Menge, of Hanover, a research civil engineer at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, received an honorary doctorate of science from the University of Alaska Fairbanks at the university’s 94th commencement earlier this month. Richter-Menge has led or participated in more than 20 Arctic field programs, focusing on research of the Arctic sea ice cover from Alaska to Greenland. She has produced more than 80 publications in scholarly journals and has helped document the rapid changes occurring among Arctic glaciers, permafrost, snow covers and sea ice. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and serves as the principal investigator for major research programs with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation. She also has served as technical editor for the NOAA Arctic Report Card, Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society State of the Climate Report, Annals of Glaciology and Journal of Geophysical Research-Oceans.
