South Royalton, Vt. —
She was born April 17, 1927, in Randolph, Vt. the daughter of Clyde and Mildred (MacDougall) Estabrook. Donna attended school in Randolph and graduated in 1945 from Randolph High School. On Aug. 19, 1946, she married Gifford Harrington of Brookfield, Vt. They lived in South Royalton for many years, where she was a member of the Women’s Club and the United Church of South Royalton.
She worked for 20 years as a cook in the South Royalton School Lunch Program before retiring.
Donna enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, flowers, cooking and listening to jazz and big band music. She loved attending sporting events and music concerts with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Bryan Harrington and his wife, Theresa and Scott Harrington and his wife, Diane all of South Royalton; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, John Coogan of South Royalton; a daughter-in-law, Holly Harrington of Brookfield, Vt.; and a sister, Shirley Hood of South Burlington, Vt. She was predeceased by her husband, Gifford Harrington; a son, Carl Harrington; a daughter, Sheila Coogan; a brother, Robert Estabrook and two sisters, Virginia Salter and Patricia DeRose.
There are no public calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, Vt. with Rev. Josh Moore officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshment will be held immediately after the service at the United Church of South Royalton in South Royalton.
