Lebanon, N.H. — Anna Strobl Lyons, 91 passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her home surrounded by family.

Anna was born May 19, 1924, in Waldsassen Germany, The daughter of Joseph and Anna (Pavlick) Strobl. She grew up in Germany where she would eventually meet her husband Malbrough C. Lyons who was in the United States Army. In 1947 Anna moved to Enfield, N.H. when she and Malbrough got married.

During her working carreer Anna worked for the Hartford Woolen Mill before their closing and then Hal’s restaurant in Hanover, N.H.

In her free time she enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling with her husband and taking care of her grandchildren

She is survived by her children, Peter Lyons and wife, Mary of Lebanon, Christine Webster and husband, Gifford of Lebanon, Elsa Bean and husband, Rex of Enfield, N.H., Michael Lyons and girlfriend, Lucy of Lebanon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was pre deceased by her parents Joseph Strobl and Anna Pavlick, her husband Malbrough Lyons in 2001, and her sister Fanny Schneider of Wildsau, Germany.

Following Anna’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Friday May 6 at 11 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield. Messages of condolence may be expressed with the family through an online guest book by visiting www.rickerfuneralhome.com.
