Lebanon, N.H. —
She was the daughter of Leo and Fernande LeBrun of Lebanon. She was 86 years-old and was a lifelong resident of Lebanon.
Maxine became a telephone operator when she graduated high school. She married George Loupis on Nov. 21, 1949 and moved to North Carolina with her husband for two years while he served in the Marines. She moved back to Lebanon after the birth of two sons.
During her early married years she was instrumental in helping her husband George open grocery stores and later worked for many years in the family business.
Maxine was a devoted mother of six children. She particularly loved watching her sons and grandchildren play sports, rarely missing a game, or a performance by her son in the marching band. She had a natural talent for golf and loved bowling both on a team with her daughter and with her family. She adored her seven grandchildren and had a huge influence in their lives and carried that love over to her six great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed many years arranging and hosting large gatherings for her family of 8 siblings and their children, whether that time was playing cards on Saturday nights or cookouts with the families. Mostly she liked to walk and giggle with her sisters.
She was a good catholic woman, once insisting that her family of eight squeeze into a Volkswagen Bug in order to make it to church on time and together. She was also a leader of the Junior Catholic Daughters for three years.
Once retired, she loved going to Florida for the winters and loved traveling extensively with her husband George.
