Hanover — School administrators in Hanover this afternoon said that their top candidate to become the principal of the Bernice A. Ray School has withdrawn.
The Hanover School Board had weathered criticism over their pick for a new principal, Sandwich (N.H.) Central School principal John Hansen. Hansen had not been the first choice of parents who were involved in the search process.
The new principal will replace Matthew Laramie, who resigned after school officials questioned more than $30,000 of expenses charged to the district.
