Hartford churned out 14 hits in a 17-2 win over Windsor that was halted after five innings due to the mercy rule.
Pitcher Brooke Hurd walked none while striking out five with four hits allowed, while at the plate she had three hits and six RBIs. Emily Ballou and Kelsey Mason had three RBIs apiece, while Elizabeth Greenan (two RBIs) and Kayla Lancor (RBI) each had a pair of hits while the Hurricanes christened their new digs.
“The field is in fantastic shape; it’s a really nice environment,” Hartford coach Gary Gervais said. “(Athletic Director) Joe James gave a speech at the beginning, thanking the Maxfield family and introducing the team.”
Emily Williams had a pair of hits for Windsor (0-4), while Becca Rumrill got the loss in the circle.
Woodstock
Kennedy Moore (double, single, two RBIs) and Hannah Reali (three hits) stood out at the plate for Woodstock, which had nine hits and scored 15 runs in the third inning. Madison Moore gave up three hits and struck out three with no walks.

Maegan Carbino led the SoRo attack, going 5-for-6 with two doubles, a triple and five RBIs while also scoring five runs. Mara Southworth had three hits, including a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored.
Paige Ballentine got the win, pitching the first four innings with one strikeout, three walks and four hits allowed.
Shay Lapine had an RBI single for Rivendell, while Megan Olney scored two runs and singled, Katelyn Woodbeck and Caitlyn Kilmer each had a hit and a run scored.

Caitlin Beneat and Cayla Crumb each had two hits for KUA. Ashley Smith, Catherine Beaupre and Halle Clark also had hits. Beaupre drove in two. Kayleigh Coombs started in the circle for the Wildcats and Crumb pitched an inning of relief.

Williamstown, Vt.
Trailing 8-2 after two innings, Rivendell plated five in the fourth inning to pull within 8-7. Eighth-grader Zachary Gould doubled in Dashiel Fukushima (4-for-5), who had an RBI single before a pair of walks and hits by Lucas Streeter and Lukas DeSouza got Rivendell back within in a run. It was the first career hit for DeSouza, a junior and exchange student from Brazil.
Reliever Fukushima (four innings, one earned run, eight strikeouts, two walks) pitched effectively for the undermanned Raptors, who were down five players, four of them starters, due to vacation and illness. Rivendell freshman Caleb Haley (2-for-4) cranked his first two varsity hits — during his first two at bats.
Pembroke, n.h.
Freshman Keegan Silovic pitched all five innings of the mercy-rule-shortened game, giving up one hit, striking out two and walking two.
Silovic (1-for-3) also got his first career hit at the place and scored a run.
North Clarendon, Vt.
Hamilton was 4-for-4 with a double and a home run to drive in five and also scored four runs. Perkins was 2-for-3 with a single and a grand slam. Dylan Spencer pitched the first four innings, allowing two hits while striking out four. Perkins tossed a perfect inning of relief, striking out two.
Rochester, Vt.
Zak Gillette took the loss in game one for Whitchester, pitching four innings while allowing six earned runs. Alex Munyon led the attack at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Ben Harvey was 2-for-5 and drove in one.
Chelsea’s Jake King tossed a complete game for the win in game two, striking out two while walking seven and throwing 120 pitches. Harvey and sophomore junior varsity callup Zach Rhoades each had hits for the Mountaineers. Matt Townsend pitched well in a losing effort, giving up three earned in six innings while fanning nine.
Amherst, n.h.
Ryan Seltzer scored three goals, Jake Acker scored once and Reed Winter had an assist for Hanover. Zander Lingelbach-Pierce and Joe Warhold combined for one save for Hanover.
Quechee
Emily Ricker led Hartford with two goals. Michaela Ricker added a goal and two assists. Emily Ruffing, Amanda Locke and Shayla Prior also scored. Goalies Victoria Stevenson and Jaden Sanborn combined for nine saves.
Hartford trailed 10-2 at halftime. Coach Jen Wheatley praised the play of the entire defensive unit, especially after the break, led by Kaylee Williams.
Meriden
Down 8-4 late in regulation, KUA rallied and knotted the score at 8-8 on a game-tying goal with 66 seconds left to play. Aurora Braswell led the way with three goals and one assist. Maisie O’Shea and Maddy Gesner each had two goals and one assist. Julia Denny also scored.
Goalie Kate Fowler had seven saves for the Wildcats (2-3).
Exeter, n.h.
Johnson and Payton Stearns partnered to win the C-Level event, finishing five laps around the course in 10 minutes, 27 seconds. Johnson and Grant Woods then took sixth in B-Level with a time of 21:07 to complete 10 laps.
Hanover competes in a 20-mile road race at Holderness School on Wednesday afternoon.
Concord
Kath Merchant won both the discus and javelin. Kim Merchant added a third-place finish in the discus and was sixth in the javelin. Corinne Kennedy won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.14 seconds for the Raiders. Sophia Miller was first in the triple jump just ahead of Lauren Anikis in second. Miller added an eighth place finish in the 300-meter hurdles and Emily Ball was sixth in the 200-meter dash.
Hannah Wittmann led the Hanover girls, taking second in the high jump and third in the pole vault. Johanna Bandler was third in the 800-meter run and Leila Trummel was fourth in the 3,200-meter run. Leah Tanny was seventh in the triple jump.
Emily Bregou added an eighth-place finish in the 3,200-meters and was 15th in the 1,600-meters. Elisabeth Nordstrom was 10th in the 300-meter hurdles.
Ryan Sullivan paced the Lebanon boys, finishing fifth in the high jump and sixth in the 100-meter dash in 11.92 seconds. Zach Petrin added a ninth place finish in the long jump.
Morgan Baughman took eighth in the 3,200-meter run for the Hanover boys. Benjamin Sobel was ninth in the high jump and 12th in the 200-meter dash.
