Sharon, Vt. —
He was born on Dec. 24, 1947, in Randolph, Vt. “Bobby” was the oldest son of Robert A. Raymond Sr. and Juanita Raymond of Sharon. Bobby attended schools in Sharon and graduated from South Royalton High School in South Royalton, Vt., class of 1966. He lived and worked his entire life in Sharon on the family farm. He also worked at the town cemetery for which he took great pride in keeping the lawns mowed.
His other interests included following the Red Sox, watching the wildlife, keeping up with the news, hunting and taking long walks on the farm.
He is survived by a sister, Carol Raymond of Randolph, Vt.; four brothers, Stephen Raymond of Sharon, Paul Raymond and his fiancee, Jeanne Ford of Ferrisburg, Vt., David Raymond of Lake Grove, N.Y., and Kevin Raymond and his wife, Dawn of Louisville, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Raymond of Sharon; two nieces, Crystal Raymond of Seattle, Wash., and Sylvia Raymond and her husband, Matt Moore and their sons, Maple, Meadow and Ripple all of Sharon; and many very special cousins in Vermont and Texas. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Gary Raymond.
There are no calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held later at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Sharon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Pine Hill Cemetery Assoc., 4626 VT RT 14, Sharon, VT 05065 or Gifford’s Last Mile Ride, 44 South Main Street, Randolph, VT 05060.
