John was born in Rapid City, S.D. to Lawrence Francis Enos Jr. and Elizabeth (Lannigan) Enos on Oct. 2, 1954. John received his GED and completed two years of secondary education earning a degree in liberal arts. John entered the US Navy in Feb. of 1972 and served aboard the USS Independence. John was interested in criminal justice and went on to become a police officer and criminal prosecutor, serving with various police departments in Iowa and New Hampshire. He also was employed by Nortel Networks as a telephone technician and went on to run his own business in that field. John was a faithful member of the NRA and a strong advocate of the second amendment. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and canoeing. He was a very special and loving grampy. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of outdoor activities with his grandchildren. He enjoyed magic and shared that with his grandchildren as well, helping them to perform some small magic shows of their own.
John is predeceased by his Father, Lawrence F. Enos, Uncle Roy Lannigan, Aunt Barbara Lannigan Reed, Uncle William “Bill” Enos and Uncle George Enos.
John is survived by his wife, Cindy Enos of Croydon, His mother, Elizabeth Enos and sister Donna Enos of Rochester, N.H., his brother Michael Enos of Pacheco, Calif., his daughter Tracy Pollak and husband Peter and their children Kayla, Emma and Matthew, his son Christopher Enos of San Diego, Calif. and his grandson Tyler Enos.
There will be a private family service at a future date.
