Essex Junction, Vt. — Daniel Robinson provided all of Woodstock goals, but host Essex had more than enough in response in a 14-3 Vermont Division I boys lacrosse win on Tuesday in the season opener for both squads.

Jonas Kontola assisted on two of Robinson’s goals, while the attackman’s third came without aid. Coleman McKaig made nine stops in the Woodstock goal.

“It was actually a good opening game for Woodstock; we’re usually slow starters,” coach Brandon Little said.

“We got up and down the field well with a young squad out there.”

The Wasps next head to Middlebury on Thursday.
