Claremont
Organized by Turning Points Network, the 5K is a fundraiser for the nonprofit, whose programs include free services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking in Sullivan County, and prevention education programs in local schools.
About 40 volunteers are needed to help with various tasks, including setting up, greeting participants, helping with registration and staffing water stations.
More than 700 walkers and runners took part last year, raising more than $75,000. This year, organizers hope to raise $100,000. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K starts at 10 a.m.
