Acton, Mass. —
A strong, loving mother, Paulle shared her love of nature, poetry, travel, and learning with her children and her friends. She loved animals dearly and was proud to have volunteered at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. After putting her children through college, Paulle took her turn, graduating from UCONN at age 51 and from Vermont Law School at age 55. She was the first hire for the State of Vermont’s new Family Law Court system, was instrumental in establishing the program, and ran the Windsor County Family Court until her retirement. She also implemented the Guardian ad Litem program and was called on to assist in other states, based on the success of the Vermont program.
She leaves behind her four children, Joseph, Kimberlee, Matthew and his wife Janet, and Pamela; her three grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas, and Olivia; her former spouse Tom; her sister Lauraine; her beloved companion cat Emma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Paulle continues to give as she will be participating in Boston University Medical School classes for the next year. In spring 2017, her ashes will be spread at her beloved Vermont home.
Two memorial services will be held—Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. in Bristol, Connecticut at Saint Anne’s Church, 215 West Street; and Sunday, April 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Norwich Inn in Norwich, Vermont.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her name to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (bestfriends.org), 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741.
