Cindy Perry boxes food items for a unit of Army troops recently deployed in Iraq at her home in Thetford, Vt., on Dec. 21,2018. For years Perry has been collecting food and donations such as snacks, candy, coffee, and microwave meals to send as care packages throughout the world. Her son-in law is a Lt. Col. in the Army. The packages are distributed to the soldiers he has served with and trained. After this shipment is sent out, Perry plans on sending another between holidays.
