Newport Fire/EMS deputy chief Christopher Marcotte, along with other fire officials and police, assess the fire damage to a single-family home on Laurel Street in Newport, N.H., on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019. The fire, which broke out Sunday night, took crews nearly three hours to get under control. Newport Police Chief Jim Burroughs said the home is a total loss, although no one was injured.
