Engineers and transportation contractors prepare to move a heavy vehicle simulator from its home at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, N.H. to Rowan University in Glassboro, N.H., Tuesday, September 6, 2016. The 75 foot, 52 ton vehicle, used to simulate years of traffic on roads and runways in a short time, was towed just over three miles from CRREL to the Department of Public Works then loaded onto a trailer for the trip to New Jersey. "Before this, we used a dump truck just back and forth across the test surface," said Bob Eaton, a retired research civil engineer who helped procure the funds to buy the simulator.
