ENFIELD, NH — Richard G. Dow passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at home with his family present. He was born on April 24, 1925 in West Lebanon, NH, and was the son of Robert G. Dow and Ethel K. Dow. He graduated from West Lebanon High School, Class of 1943. He worked on the Boston & Maine railroad for ten years and then as a machinist at Joy Manufacturing Company in Claremont. He was a volunteer fireman with the Town of Enfield for many years. He also worked with his father at their small dog ID tag manufacturing business in West Lebanon. Dick was an active charter member of the Enfield Community Church for many years and also attended the Enfield United Methodist Chrurch.

He married Barbara Wilson on October 6, 1950, and they made their home in Enfield. Dick is survived by his wife, Barbara and four children; daughters Linda (Dexter) Blanchard of Willow, AK, Marjorie (William) Chase, of Enfield, NH, Andrea Dow of Canaan, NH, and a son, Robert Dow of Anchorage, AK. He is also survived by a brother, Dwight Dow (Melvalene) of Puyallup, WA; a sister Judith (George) Lander, of West Lebanon, NH; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ethel Dow; his brother Robert G. Dow, Jr., who was killed in WWII; and two sisters, Dorothy Patenaude of West Lebanon and Alice Mong of Stow, MA.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would enjoy receiving notes with favorite memories and stories about Dick for a family album.
