SHARON — Voters overwhelmingly approved a proposal to change the town treasurer role from an elected position to one appointed by the Selectboard.
Sarah Pfeiffer received 281 votes to win a three-year term on the Selectboard, defeating Alexandre Bird, who received 42 votes. Sylvia Moore received 322 votes for a three-year term on the school board, defeating Joseph “Jamr” Marceau, who received 18 votes.
All spending articles on both the town and school warnings passed. That includes a $1.86 million municipal operating budget and $5.4 million school budget.
