Lebanon, N.H. — Albert “Albie” Martin, 65, a Lebanon native, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Tampa VA. He was born in Lebanon on June 4, 1950, to Harold and Rita (Castonguay) Martin. Albie graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1969. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1973, and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After his time in the military he worked for Trumbull-Nelson for many years, and then for Estes-Gallup as a Construction Supervisor for five years.

Albie served on the Lebanon Youth Hockey Board for several years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22, and the Marine Corps League. He enjoyed time spent helping with Toys for Tots. He also spent many years running the concession stand, the “Hut”, for the men’s softball league. Albie thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a passion for the Marine Corps and veteran organizations and causes.

Albie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Yvonne (Therrien) Martin; his son, Ryan Martin and wife, Kelly Martin, of Davidson, N.C.; and his daughter, Kelly (Martin) Moynahan and husband, Kevin Moynahan, of Lexington Park, MD. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Guerin, of Enfield, N.H., his brothers, Ronnie “Buster” LaBombard, of Etna, N.H., and Bryan Martin, of Oregon. He is predeceased by his daughter, Andrea, his mother and father, his brothers, Andrew Martin and Eddie LaBombard, and his sister, Lorraine Mousley.

Family and friends are invited to Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Wednesday, May 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for visiting hours, and Thursday, May 12, at 10 a.m. for a funeral service. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 22 in Lebanon.
