Lyndonville, Vt. — Ida Jennie Lawrence, 93, formerly of the Opera Block, Woodsville, N.H., died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at The Pines.

Ida was born in Warren, Vt, May 24, 1923, a daughter of Alford E. and Alice (Murray) Manning. Over the years, Ida worked for various restaurants around Vermont, including the Miss Bellows Falls Diner from 1959-1978.

She married Leon Goodell on Sept. 8, 1940, and he died in Nov, 1965. She then married George Pleasant on May 26, 1962, and he predeceased her on June 12, 1966. On June 24, 1967, she married Charles Lawrence and he predeceased her on November 4, 1972.

Ida was a member of the St. Johnsbury Chapter # 1021 Women of the Moose and the Lodge of Rebekah’s.

Survivors include two daughters, Loretta and husband Gordon of Bolton, Mass., and Rogene and husband Charles of Acworth, Ga.; five sons, Eugene and wife Martha of East Corinth, Vt., William of Woodsville, James of East Barre, Vt., Kenneth and wife Susan of Cabot, Vt., and Paul of Waterford, Vt.; 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandsons; two sisters, Helen Stone and Ada Race both of Strafford, Vt.; a brother, Walter Manning of Bradford, Vt.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by a sister, June Chamberlin and a brother, Arvin Manning.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, North Thetford, Vt., with her son Kenneth officiating.
