TUNBRIDGE — Vermont State Police troopers serving the White River Valley will hold a public meeting on Thursday night to introduce a new policing initiative aimed at reducing so-called quality-of-life crimes.
Residents from Bethel, Chelsea, Royalton, Sharon, Strafford and Tunbridge are invited to the event, which will introduce them to “intelligence based policing,” according to a State Police news release.
The new initiative is meant to improve how law enforcement agencies gather, process and shares information with the help of community members, the release said.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Tunbridge Central School, 523 Route 110.
