Bradford, Vt. —
He was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Portland, Maine, the son of Robert E. and Bessie (Nason) Brown. He attended school in West Bridgton, Maine, and graduated in 1967 from Lake Region High School. From 1967 to 1979 he served in the U.S. Army and later the Army National Guard. On Nov. 25, 1989, he married Margaret “Peg” Martin of Barnard, Vt. Kendell and Peg made their home in Maine before moving to Bradford in September 1999.
Kendell was a truck driver for many companies including Merrill’s in Maine; United Van Lines; and R & D Company of Florence, Ala., and for 12 years he worked for Pike Industries of West Lebanon, N.H. In 2016 he retired because of ill health.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at home and racing stock cars when he was younger. He had raced at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, as well as other local racetracks.
He is survived his wife, Peg of Bradford; three daughters, Lisa Renee Kimble of Bridgton, Maine, Cinnamon A. Brown of Bradford, and Sarah E. Lee of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two stepsons, Chad E. Robinson of New Britain, Conn., and Nathan Robinson and his wife, Kimberly of Bradford; several grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton Brown and David Brown both of East Sebago, Maine;and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his twin brother, Kent Harry Brown on Dec. 9, 1947; and a stepson, Todd Robinson.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. A private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03766.
