Enfield, N.H. —
In 1950, she married Robert “Bob” A. Evans Jr. and they began their family, Arlene was a stay at home mother who raised their six children. Once the children were enrolled in school she began working again. She worked as a cook for the Hartford School District. Later as the assistant manager of food services for the Hanover School District and then as the assistant cook at the Lebanon Senior Center.
She and her husband moved to Arizona in 1992 and returned to Enfield in 2013.
Arlene is survived by her children, Nancy Forsell (Karl) of Sun City, Ariz., Debra Mayer (Mike) of North Bennington, Vt., Gary Evans (Danita) of Keene, N,H., Christine Evans (Peter) of Enfield, Daryl Evans (Miriam) of Peoria, Ariz., Marlene Carmen (Mike) of Sun City; two sisters, Madeline Evans (Fred) of Grafton, and Eleanor Cantlin (Jim) of Enfield; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob in 2014; and also seven brothers; and four sisters.
A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday. April 2 at 2 p.m. at the Enfield Community Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Enfield. Messages of condolence may be expressed with the family through an online guestbook by visiting www.rickerfuneralhome.com.
