THETFORD CENTER — A balloon test intended to illustrate the visual impact of a proposed 190-foot cellphone tower near Route 113 has been delayed by a day because of wind.
The test from the site off Sawnee Bean Road in Thetford Center, which had been scheduled for Saturday, instead will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Representatives for AT&T said a forecast of wind speeds of 10 to 15 mph on Saturday “would have compromised the test” but that the weather on Sunday is supposed to be calmer.
