For First Friday in White River Junction, Scavenger Gallery celebrates the Hitchcockian charm of collagists Ben Peberdy and David Powell with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 for “Peberdy and Powell’s ‘The Birds.’” The show promises “a melange of mystery, horror, intellectual stimulation and confusion.” A typical Friday night in White River Junction. The reception also features a tasting of wines from Artisanal Cellars.

In addition, the neighboring Zollikofer Gallery hosts “To Be Determined 2.0,” an exhibition of Powell’s collage, altered photographs, digital prints and tapestries, through July 27.

SculptureFest, the annual celebration of three-dimensional art, opens Saturday at the Woodstock farm of Charlet and Peter Davenport with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. This year’s featured sculptors are Judith Wrend and Joseph Chirchirillo. The show remains open for public browsing through foliage. A second piece of the show, curated by Edythe Wright and Jay Mead, opens in September at the nearby King Farm. The Justin Morrill Homestead in Strafford unveils a restoration of Constantino Brumidi’s portrait of Morrill on Friday with tours of the Homestead’s art collection from 4 to 5:30. The restoration was conducted for Strafford’s Morrill and Harris Memorial Library. Following the tours and a reception is a silent auction of miniature paintings by local artists to benefit the homestead. For more information, go to morrillhomestead.org.

ArtisTree Gallery in South Pomfret is calling for submissions to “Unbound Vol. VI,” an exhibition of altered and artist books from artists in New England and New York, held in conjunction with the annual Bookstock festival. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon. This is the last day for an exhibition of work by Marlene Kramer, digital art by Eric Hasse, photographs by John Rush, oil paintings by Emily Ridgway, and pastels, acrylics and oils by Gail Barton.

Aidron Duckworth Museum, Meriden. “Color–A Theory in Action,” a show of works by Duckworth runs through July 24. An exhibition of prints and collages by Philadelphia artist Steven Ford is on view through July 24. The sculpture of Terry Lund, on the grounds, is on view through Oct. 30.

Great Hall, Springfield, Vt. An exhibition of photographs documenting life in Springfield, taken by students participating in the Springfield Photovoice initiative, continues through July.
