Donna B. Harp

Lebanon, NH – A new star is shining brightly in heaven. Donna B. Harp, 83, passed away Sunday November 1, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family after several years of multiple health issues. She was born in Portland, ME to the late Edmund & Helen (Morin) Brissette. Following graduation from Old Town High School she enlisted in the Navy. After her naval service, she had a three-year stop in Fitchburg, MA and three years in Davenport, IA, before settling in Lebanon where she started her career with USA CRREL. She kept her fellow workers entertained with her unique personality. She was a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and received many service awards. Following retirement, on the last day, she stopped in at the Centerra State Liquor Store to pick up supplies to celebrate her freedom. She told the clerk about her retirement and was going to take the summer off. That is when the clerk offered her a job and where she worked for the next ten years.

Donna was introduced to Jack Harp when a group of mutual friends introduced them at a prearranged party. They had both come with dates and this is when they found each other. They locked eyes that evening and were married on August 3, 1979. The wedding was a family affair, and the plan was to ascend Mt. Cardigan and have the ceremony at the summit. Unfortunately, the JP became short of breath, and they were married where they all stopped.

She was extremely loyal and held extraordinary family values. Donna was a diehard Stephen King fan. She enjoyed watching Judge Judy, Jeopardy, and the Food Network.

She would faithfully accompany her husband to “Cruise Nights” wherever they were, although actually dreading the weekly get-togethers. She told her husband Jack that she loved him every night. Donna will be sorely missed by Rosie, her beautiful cat, and all of those who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jack; son, Steve; daughter, Michelle; step children Chris and Nathaniel; six grandchildren, Jake, Dayna, Nick, Lucas, Ben, and Chantal.

At Donna’s request there will be no services. Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory in Lebanon has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.rickerfuneralhome.com
