Advance Transit is adding new stops and expanding service in Norwich and Hanover.

Starting Monday, Nov. 9, the Brown Route will stop at the front door of the King Arthur Baking café and retail store on Route 5 in Norwich and in the Oak Hill/Storrs Pond area of Hanover, according to a press release. The new stops will give riders access to one of the Upper Valley’s best-known destinations, as well as hiking trails and recreational facilities.

The Brown Route will also serve the Norwich Park & Ride more often.

“We are excited to expand access and improve connections for those who utilize public transportation throughout the Upper Valley,” Ashley Manning, interim executive director of Advance Transit, said in the release. “By adding two new stops and providing consistent, all-day service to the Park & Ride, we are making it easier for people to access jobs, businesses, and essential services. These improvements reflect our continued commitment to meeting the needs of our communities and providing reliable, accessible transportation.”

The nonprofit provides free transportation on accessible buses for riders of all ages and abilities, according to the release. Route maps, schedules, a trip planner, real-time information and more are available at advancetransit.com.
