My personal protest

As an independent voter, I’ll not be voting for any Republicans on Nov. 3. Why?

Because they have engaged us in an unnecessary, costly, and botched war; sent the national debt over $40 trillion dollars; carried out an inhumane, racist immigration policy, enforced by an unaccountable U.S. Gestapo (ICE), featuring a gulag of opaque concentration camps, where victims are often denied due process.

They’ve subverted the US Constitution by undermining freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the checks and balances between branches of government; persistently and outrageously lied to the American people and used violent, divisive rhetoric; supported genocide in Gaza and Israeli terrorism in the West Bank; and ignored affordability issues, while making anti-children, anti-family budget cuts.

They’ve weaponized the Department of Justice to silence critics with lawfare and extorted U.S. businesses, law firms, and universities. They’ve engaged in brazen, shameless corruption, failed to protect us from unregulated AI; given unjustified pardons to convicted criminals (pay-to-play), while persecuting protesters; undermined vaccines and turned a blind eye to worsening climate change.

In New Hampshire, shadow libertarian groups have captured the Republican Party and sacrificed the common good to their ideology. They have routinely ignored overwhelming public testimony to push their agenda, assaulted our public schools, given tax breaks to the rich as well as gifting them with Education Freedom Accounts, and downshifted tax burdens to local governments, sending property taxes through the roof.

I’m not done. They’ve denied justice to victims of the Epstein scandal with a coverup; pursued a disastrous tariff policy; chosen Vladimir Putin over ally Ukraine; slowly dismantled democracy and replaced it with fascism and oligarchy; undermined the rule of law; destroyed the East Wing of the White House without asking; stacked a runaway, ideologically motivated Supreme Court, which protects the wealthy and powerful; dismantled our healthcare system; degraded our national park system and opened public lands to exploitation by extraction companies.

They’ve shown incredible incompetence, no moral compass, and a willingness to “cheat like hell.”

It’s time for a big change.
