The roughly 3-acre property on Depot Avenue is located on the east side of the train tracks. The town acquired the property in 2023 after another redevelopment effort backed by a loan from a town fund never materialized.
The skate park was spearheaded by Windsor Railyard Recreation, a nonprofit organization that was led by businessman Terry McDonnell. Long-term maintenance of the park will be turned over to Windsor Recreation.
